
St Mary's raised £1.68m to cover the cost of the current building and refurbishment project, which enables the Nursing Home to comply fully with the requirements of the Care Standards Act 2000. Grateful thanks to everyone involved.
The appeal was launched in October 2001, and closed in December 2003.

Wednesday 16 June 2004 The buildings of St Mary's Convent and Nursing Home, "restored, modernised and extended", were rededicated in God's service by Bishop Edward Holland in the presence of patron HRH Princess Alexandra. The refurbishment was funded by the £1.7m Appeal, which was generously supported by a number of donors and charitable trusts, and the fundraising efforts of numerous local people. |
