Giffords Circus' highly anticipated 2016 tour The Painted Wagon rolls into Chiswick House & Gardens this summer from Thursday 30th June until Monday 18th July. The Painted Wagon is an original whip-crackin' horse-wranglin' hell-raisin' Giffords Circus show set to wow audiences across the South West this summer.

The Painted Wagon invites audiences to a spectacle of eye-catching acrobatics and aerialists from far and distant lands, dancing horses, bounty hunting and gold panning, all to the beat of the “Dodge City” Giffords Circus saloon band.

New artists and firm favourites form the critically acclaimed company. Newcomers include gun-slinging, rope-spinning teenage Cowgirl Lilian Konyot, along with Duo Lyrical Lyra, two beautiful aerialists. Giffords Circus stalwarts Madame Nancy Trotter-Landry, rodeo rider Dan Fortt, jugglers Bibi and Bichu, El Gifford (STILL WANTED) and funny man Tweedy the Clown all make a welcome return.

Top stage and screen director, Cal McCrystal will return for his fifth year as director. Cal's portfolio of work includes comedy direction of the Royal National Theatre's West End and Broadway hit, One Man, Two Guvnors, the clown routines in Cirque du Soleil and the original Mighty Boosh, along with comedy consultation on major movies including The Dictator, Paddington Bear and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. His current projects also include Comedy Direction of Andrew Lloyd Webber's all-new Broadway musical School of Rock and Don Quixote at the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Established in 2000 by Nell and Toti Gifford, Giffords Circus is renowned for its eclectic circus theatre fusion style. Giffords Circus experiments with the circus form, weaving theatre, opera, dance and puppetry into a 90-minute fun filled performance. Shows are always idiosyncratic, beautifully designed creations featuring a live orchestra, clowns, acrobats, horses, handmade costumes and farmyard animals.

Tickets are priced from £27 for adults and from £17 for children. Children's tickets are valid for those aged 3-14 years. Children aged 3 and under go free if sitting on a lap. Full ticket pricing can also be found on the Giffords Circus website.

Once again, Circus Sauce, the much-loved 60 cover travelling restaurant, will be inviting circusgoers to a feast like no other. New for 2016, Circus Sauce will serve lunch instead of supper on the final Sunday at any ground between 12.45 – 2.15pm. A three-course meal is priced from £30 for adults and from £15 for children aged 14 and under. Circus Sauce is not a licensed restaurant and diners are invited to bring their own drinks including alcohol.

Tickets to The Painted Wagon are on sale now and can be purchased from the Giffords Circus website at www.giffordscircus.com or Box Office on 0845 459 7469. Places for Circus Sauce can also be booked through the website and Box Office.
