From a full, traditional turkey Christmas dinner which you can serve with pride on Christmas day, to a French chocolate Father Christmas to put on the tree, the Deli will take all the work out of Christmas this year.

The Grove Park Deli can cater superbly for every element of your Christmas cuisine. Janice and her team can provide you with the full Christmas meal, including our legendary Christmas puddings, or you may just prefer to order in one of our traditional marmalade- glazed hams for Boxing Day. If you want a really special stuffing, for the first time ever Janice is releasing her recipe for Janice’s Special Artichoke, Parmesan and Pine Nut Stuffing! Try it at home with goose, turkey or duck. Delicious and different. Or, if you prefer, put in your order at the Deli counter. However, traditional goose or turkey isn’t to everyone’s taste, so what about filet de boeuf en croute – either cooked or ready for you to pop into the oven – accompanied by chicken liver combined with mushrooms duxelles and served with a Madeira jus.

Christmas is party time and the Deli can take all the stress out of being a great host. We can cater for your every need from supplying canapés or something more substantial, providing glasses, crockery and cutlery and professional waiting staff and we’ll also do the washing up. Just give us about 10 days’ notice and we’ll ensure your party is the one everyone remembers – for all the right reasons!

Office lunch? Whether it’s a special occasion for Christmas or a regular event, we will cater your office lunches with professionalism and pleasure.

If you’ve got a number of social occasions in the diary, you’ll want to stock up on ‘hostess gifts’. Everything from beautifully packaged, mouthwatering Panettone and Pan d’Oro, to delicious truffles from our range of specialist French chocolates, Comptoir de Cacao.

Looking for a more substantial gift? Our renowned Christmas Hampers could be the answer. Full to overflowing with the goodies you choose, our hampers are truly luxurious and can’t fail to be appreciated by the lucky recipient.

Just come to Fauconberg Road and make it a Deli-icious Christmas!

In case you needed any further persuasion to visit the Deli, starting on Monday 24th November, anyone placing a Christmas, Hamper or catering order worth over £25 will be entered into our raffle to win a fabulous 3kg ham. The winner will be advised on the Saturday before Christmas.

Coming very soon is the new winter Sandwich Menu, which includes international favourites such as delectable Pastrami on Rye, served with dill pickle and cheese, or Pulled Jerk Chicken with avocado and cream cheese, making an early visit to this gem of a shop in Fauconberg Road a must.

Perfect with goose, turkey or duck, here Janice’s Artichoke, Parmesan and Pine Nut Stuffing

Ingredients

500g mushrooms, rinsed, ends trimmed, and sliced

1 tablespoon butter

2 onions chopped

100g Pine nuts

3 stick of celery chopped

2 tablespoons minced garlic

500ml chicken broth

1 loaf small sourdough bread, cut into 1/2-in. cubes

340g marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

225g freshly grated parmesan cheese

1 1/2 teaspoons poultry seasoning

1 1/2 tablespoons minced fresh rosemary leaves or 3/4 tsp. crumbled dried rosemary

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

1 large egg

Preparation

1. In a frying pan over high heat, cook mushrooms, butter, onions, celery, and garlic, stirring often, until vegetables are lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Pour into a large bowl. Add a bit of broth to pan and stir to scrape up browned bits. Add to bowl.

2. Pour broth into bowl and add bread, artichoke hearts, parmesan, poultry seasoning, and rosemary; mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste. Make a well in stuffing. Add egg and beat with a fork to blend; mix egg with stuffing.

3. Preheat oven to 150/160. Spoon stuffing into a shallow casserole. For moist stuffing, cover with foil; for crusty stuffing, do not cover. Bake until hot or lightly browned, about 25/30 minutes.

Make ahead: Up to 1 day ahead, make stuffing, put in casserole, cover, and chill. Allow about 1 hour to bake.
