This summer Hogarth’s House in Chiswick has a packed programme of activities and events for you to attend. With creative workshops, family activities, special exhibitions and even a specially commissioned play there is something for everyone at Hogarth’s House this summer!
£15 children, £20 adults The Angry Musician - a family-friendly play, June 17 - June 26, Suitable for all ages. The Pulp Rocket Theatre production returns to Hogarth’s House! The Angry Musician is a family-friendly show inspired by William Hogarth’s famous print The Enraged Musician (1741). Come and join Tom, Crotchet and Moll as they frantically try to rehearse a play, discover themselves, and avoid the various pitfalls of Hogarth’s London. Audiences will be invited to join in the fun and there will be games, music, puns and plenty of audience interaction to entertain all ages. Showtimes and booking details here. Family Activities
Little Hands WOWLab Drop-off Workshop, July 23. Ages 6-11. In this fun drop-off workshop with Little Hands, children will participate in S.T.E.A.M. based demos and experiments. Waggle Dance Wednesdays, August 3 - August 24. 8-12 year olds. This storytelling and creative dance workshops (no previous dance experience necessary) will give you a chance to co-create movement that captures imaginations and individuals dance personalities.
Creative Workshops Colour matching the Mulberry Garden, June 11. In this painting workshop, participants will learn to mix colours in response to the garden at Hogarth’s House. Experimenting to match the fresh and vibrant colours of the flowers and foliage seen in the Mulberry Garden in June, participants will use colour theory to mix paints and produce an image of a leaf Calligraphy with mulberry ink, July 16. Join local calligraphy artist, Laura Edralin, for a 2-hour brush pen and mulberry ink workshop at Hogarth’s House. Calm your mind, connect with nature and get creative this summer. Sketching in the Mulberry Garden, September 8 - September 29 A four-week sketching session in the Mulberry Garden with artist Christine Covill. In this relaxed environment during these sessions we will look at some basic techniques, being inspired by the natural world especially from the garden and mulberry tree. Monthly Printmaking Workshops On one Sunday each month you can come and learn how to make prints using both embossing and drypoint techniques and our very own printing press.
