Like Minders www.likeminders.co.uk, London’s favourite babysitting and childcare agency, is now offering an emergency childcare service to their members throughout London.

Commenting on the emergency childcare service, director Georgie Jones said: “We provide emergency childcare for when parents have a last minute change of plans, and find themselves without childcare. If their child is unwell and cannot attend nursery we can get an experienced, professional CRB checked child carer to their home within an hour or two. We get so many requests for help when a child comes down with chicken pox and is unable to go to their nursery, and we can always find a suitable child carer (who has had chickenpox!) to step in and save the day. It can be real life saver for working parents – and membership at only £10 per month it is a back-up plan worth having in place.”

The office opens at 8:30am but you can always get an emergency contact number by calling 0844 879 7189 outside office hours.

They also offer emergency birth cover – when parents need help with their other child/children when they go into labour. They offer a unique service whereby the parents can meet with some suitable local child carers beforehand and then have them on speed dial in case the new arrival decides to appear during the night. They can always find emergency cover during the day too.

Costs

• Membership only £10 per month
• Last minute booking fee £6 (normal booking fee £3.50)
• Non member last minute booking fee is £25 (normal non member booking fee is £20)
• Child carer’s rate is £8 (with a minimum of four hours on any booking)

Service Details

Bookings can be made online 24 hours a day and the office is open from 8:30am-6pm Mon-Fri and 9am-6pm Saturdays, and our girls can be available for child care 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
