One year after opening its doors on Devonshire Road, MEM Hair and Beauty is today one of Chiswick’s premier hair and beauty destinations. Offering a one-stop service, MEM provides its discerning clientele with a professional, friendly ambiance to look and feel beautiful.

Owner and stylist, Mem joined the industry at the age of fifteen, working her way up quickly and determinedly following intensive training with Vidal Sassoon and Alan International. A growing passion for the industry meant always being on the lookout for the next trend and Mem felt she needed to be in a more progressive environment. Mem had officially arrived with her trademark personal and consistent approach to styling. An innate and honest ability to communicate with her clients is what sets her apart, and the reason why Mem’s clients have followed her from her early days, to this very day.

Situated in the heart of Chiswick, MEM Hair and Beauty is located opposite Michelin star restaurant La Trompette. Extensive renovation works were soon underway and over the coming weeks, the premises began to evolve from an empty shell into the stylish, ambient salon it is today. Enjoying consistent growth and success over the past twelve months is largely due to a steady referral business.

“Apart from leaflet dropping in the area, I have never advertised my business. I opened the Chiswick branch and initially depended on the footfall of passersby,” explains Mem. “I’ve been in the business many years and the old-school approach I offer my clients is the reason they trust me and believe that I want the best for them. I’m happy when they’re happy. And when they’re happy, they tell their friends and that’s how it’s always been.”

Calling her clientele her extended family, one immediately feels welcome and part of her inner circle. Coming to MEM and indulging in any of the plethora of hair and beauty treatments on offer is a familiar and enjoyable experience that, for almost three decades, has proven to be a firm favourite.

“The loyalty of my customers is my greatest accomplishment. They have stuck by me from day one and I cannot thank them enough for placing themselves in my hands and giving me that responsibility,” Mem states and goes on to say, “I am honoured and grateful, and consider myself so fortunate to be welcomed by Chiswick’s residents. This past year has been life-changing for me and my team and I look forward to many years here on Devonshire Road, in and amongst the people and fellow business owners of Chiswick.”
