A number of vacant units on Chiswick High Road look set to be filled with the arrival of a number of new retailers.

Signage for Up & Running has appeared at number 242 which has formerly been a bookmaker and a mobile phone shop. Reports indicate that the UK’s largest independent running specialist is planning a flagship shop at the site.

The group which has traded for over 30 years already has 28 stores across the country including one in East Sheen and sells running shoes and other equipment for joggers including electronics.

The other opening that looks set to happen is the arrival of Manor Springs which is a UK-based distributor of organic and natural foods based in Leyton. At the moment it only trades on line but is set to take over the site that was briefly occupied by Hush Hush café next to Gail’s Bakery having made a planning application for the premises. They say that the store opening is currently planned for the end of July.

We ask Up & Running for more details of their plans but have yet to receive a reply.
