If you've got one or more invites for a wedding this year, Royal or not, what to wear for the big day as a guest is always tricky, especially for women.

It's a case of striking the right balance, not too sexy, not too frumpy and of course never upstaging the bride.

But there is one item this season that the Royal bride-to-be would approve of and that's a fascinator headpiece to finish off an outfit.

Ever since Kate Middleton was photographed wearing fascinators to her friend's weddings and formal occasions, the love for them has hit an all time high, sales have rocketed and now wearing a hat seems erm, a bit old hat!

Rather than buying a high street version and run the risk of someone else wearing the same thing, or spending a fortune on a designer one, you can now learn to make your own stylish and unique personalised headpiece at a limited edition fascinator workshop run by Chiswick's contemporary craft workshops I Made It Myself.

The class includes choosing the best design for your face shape, learning to create and build the headpiece and customising choosing from a large selection of feathers, flowers and netting. You can even bring an outfit along so that the teacher can help match it to your creation. By the end of the workshop everyone leaves with their handmade fascinator to take home for that next big occasion.
