A 'Great Opportunity' on Wednesday 16th July
Marmalade Jewellery of Chiswick, is holding their next in store Jewellery Valuation day on Wednesday the 16th July and there are still some spaces available.
Valuations are vital to ensuring you have the proper insurance cover for your Jewellery, at current replacement costs.
These popular events usually book out very quickly so call soon to reserve your place.
Marmalade can also organise home visits to value private collections should that be more convenient.
Given the huge recent increases in the price of gold, platinum and diamonds, Marmalade Jewellery would encourage everyone to have an up to date valuation of their Jewellery carried out. Experience has shown that most people are significantly under-insured and this can create problems in the event of a claim.
If you have been thinking of getting your precious jewellery or watches valued, this could be the ideal time. You could discover the history of your precious items and have a professional valuation carried out by an industry expert while you wait.
Specialist jewellery valuer, Tony Beck, who is a Member of the Institute of Registered Valuers, will be available by appointment between 10am and 5:30pm to carry out personal consultations on your jewellery. If it is not convenient for you to be in-store during the day you could leave your jewellery in the store in advance and the team at Marmalade will ensure it gets valued on the day for you.
Valuation prices start from £49.95, but check out their website for a full price list. www.marmaladejewellery.co.uk
All valuations are beautifully presented and include detailed descriptions and digital photographs of each item, together with documentation for your insurance company and advice on what to do in the event of a loss.
To book an appointment at this special in store event, please contact the store on 020 8742 1178 or call in to the store.
Due to demand a maximum of 5 items can be valued on the day although if you have other items you would like valued these can be brought along on the day and will be returned to you usually within 4 to 5 days.
And there was more exciting news for the team as on the 18th June Simon Johnson of Marmalade Jewellery was delighted and honoured to be unanimously elected to the position of Vice Chairman of the National Association of Goldsmiths.
This illustrious Association has been serving Retail Jewellers since 1894, and Marmalade have been full members since its creation in 2004.
Simon (on left) beng congratulated on his appointment
Following membership of the council in 2010 and invitation to the Board of Directors in 2012, Simon is delighted to be supporting new Chairman Andrew Hinds for the next 2 years before taking the Chair himself. Simon commented:
“There are many challenges facing the jewellery trade in the coming years, not least the rise of internet sales, technology advances and a loss of key skills that have formed the heart of our trade for many years.
"Fortunately the Association under the previous Chairman started to rise to these challenges and is now changing the playing field in order to continue providing the assistance, guidance, support and education that the retail jeweller and Trade needs now and going forward.
"I am 100% committed to helping push forward with these ground breaking changes under the excellent leadership of Andrew Hinds.
"We have accepted the challenge and understand the requirement to unify the various bodies within our sector in order to better serve the Trade as a whole in a more efficient and productive way.
"We are looking forward to working closer and more happily with everybody in order to achieve our goals.”
