Local children's author, Karen Inglis will be at Waterstone's,Chiswick on Saturday, November 19th from 11am-3pm to discuss her new book, 'The Secret Lake'.

Karen, who lives in Barnes, was inspired by her children to write the 'time-slip' novel which tells of the adventures of two children, Stella and Tom, who discover a tunnel and lake that takes them back 100 years. They meet the children who lived there and uncover startlling connections between the past and present.

The book is aimed at the 8-10 year age group. The secret lake in the book was inspired by Still Pond in Richmond Park.
