It's Norwegian Independance Day tomorrow, Saturday, May 17th, (Constitution Day) and the owners of the The Catch on 293 Chiswick High Road are offering cod and chips at a special price of 99p to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Norwegian Constitution.

There's nothing 'fishy' about their offer, available from 11.30 till 5:30. The Norwegian Seafood Council has gifted 16 tonnes of cod to ninety-nine fish & chip restaurants across the UK. Eleven shops in London are taking part.

The Catch opened in 2006 on Chiswick High Road.

Owner Hassan Rajai says; "We have stayed true to our commitment from day one to use only 100% natural fresh fish to deliver quality food to our customers".

The Catch is a sister restaurant to Rice which was started in 1986 as Mirage.

Norway's Constitution, which declared the country to be an independent nation, was signed at Eidsvoll on 17th May 1814, and despite full independence having had to wait until 1905, this date remains Norway's official National Day.

The special price is available from 11.30 till 5:30 and it’s limited to three portions per person.
