A Warm Welcome for Chiswick Guide Dogs at the George IV

A Chiswick Guide Dogs ‘morning cuppa’ event at the George IV this Saturday (20 April) saw a good turnout from local supporters.
Among those who turned up was local resident Sarah who the following day was set to run in the London Marathon to raise funds for Guide Dogs. Also calling in was TV presenter and writer Adrian Chiles who has previously supported the charity.
Tim Mack, coordinator for the group said, “It was wonderful to meet so many of our supporters hosted by the lovely team at George IV. And to have a chance to thank them for their support including Adrian Chiles.
Sarah's decision to join us the day before her marathon speaks volumes about her dedication, and we wished her all the very best for the race."
Chiswick Guide Dogs is aiming to raise £500 for its Spring appeal and, at the time of writing, was nearly half way there.

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a very significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives.
Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you.
