Motorcyclist dies after crashing into fence near school

Police in Chiswick are investigating an accident in which a motorcyclist has died.

The accident took place in Edensor Road Friday evening (December 7th). The road was closed for some time while emergency vehicles attended the scene.

It is understood that no other vehicle was involved.

Local reports suggested the motorcyclist crashed into railings near Cavendish School at around 4.10pm. Emergency services attended and found the motorcyclist, a man aged 64, unconscious. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses said staff from the new Chiswick Pool and passers-by rushed to the scene and tried to give assistance until emergency services arrived.

Next of kin have been informed.

Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit at Hampton Traffic Garage are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the collision.
