Serious Car Crash Closes Chiswick High Road |

Top ripped off vehicle but driver believed to have escaped relatively unscathed
September 23, 2025 Chiswick High Road was shut during the morning rush hour this Monday (22 September) after a serious collision between two vehicles. The incident occurred shortly before 6:24am close to the junction of Chiswick Road and the High Road. Paramedics treated three people at the scene, two men aged 56 and 65, and a 60-year-old woman, before taking them to hospital for further treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life changing. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, “We treated two men and a woman at the scene and took them to hospital.” A green/blue Peugeot, was completely wrecked and the top had to be removed from the car to rescue the male driver. Eye witnesses report that the female passenger was able to exit the car with assistance from passers by. Debris from the car was laid on the pavement including a tyre as well as the roof.
Chiswick High Road was reopened by 10:30am although traffic in the area remained heavy throughout the morning.
