The media is full of reports that Chiswick actor Timothy Dalton is seeking a restraining order against Mel Gibson to keep him away from his son.

The former James Bond was married to Mel Gibson's ex Oksana Grigorieva with whom he has a twelve year old son, Alexander.

Dalton stepped in to support Grigorieva in her attempt to place a restraining order on Gibson after recently released audio tapes in which the Australian film star allegedly insulted Grigorieva's parenting skills and made comments like, "Look at your son, he's a f***ing mess."

When questioned over whether he felt Gibson was a threat to his son, Dalton replied: "Absolutely no comment."

According to The Sunday Mirror, Dalton is also backing Grigorieva's decision to prevent Gibson from gaining custody of his eight-month old daughter.

Dalton and Grigorieva married in 1997 and lived in Chiswick with Alexander until they broke up shortly before she started seeing Gibson.

Before meeting Russian musician Grigorieva, Dalton had a long term relationship with fellow Chiswick resident Vanessa Redgrave.
