Fans of Chiswick actor Colin Firth might find his latest role somewhat lifeles . However, they now have the opportunity to see him up close and personal for the first time- and he is not likely to run away from adoring autograph hunters .

The Oscar-winner is the latest celebrity to be revealed at Madame Tussauds and last week the wax figure of The King’s Speech star was ‘unwrapped’ under twinkling lights and surrounded by festive Christmas trees .

The actor, renowned for his dashing demeanour, is captured in his red carpet finest of a black textured tuxedo complete with bow tie and pocket handkerchief.

The figure took four months to complete at a cost of £150,000 and will be situated with other A-list stars from Bruce Willis to Kate Winslet to the Beckhams.

The British actor , who lives in Chiswick with his wife and children, is the eighth and final new figure to be revealed in a special year for Madame Tussauds London which this month celebrated the 250th anniversary of the birth of founder, Marie Tussaud.
