Sons Of Marco Pierre White Fail To Show Up For Their Mother's Trial

They were due appear as witnesses in the assault case

The two sons of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White did not turn up to the trial of his estranged wife at Uxbridge Magistrates Court today (July 12). One of them was said to be "too ill" to attend following a party the previous night, while the other had his mobile phone switched off.

They are both witnesses in the criminal case against their mother, Matilde Conejero, 51, known as Mati, who has pleaded not guilty to assaulting Marco Pierre White Junior, 20, and her eldest Luciano, 22, during a row at their home in Chiswick on September 20 last year.

The court was told that police officers who went to Marco's home in Chiswick were told by friends he had been to a party the previous night and was in Hampshire and too ill to attend. The other son Luciano who did not turn up to court, was unable to be contacted by phone as his mobile was switched off.

The judge Deborah Wright told the court that she had been advised that Luciano was not contactable and Marco was unable to attend 'probably because of a hangover'. She denied an application to adjourn the case and said it already had a "troubled" history of proceedings.

An application has been made to see if the case can continue without the two brothers.

Marco Pierre White Junior was recently fined £400 after admitting being in charge of a motor vehicle while high on cocaine on 21 June, days after he was evicted from the Big Brother house where he had appeared as a contestant.

Ms. Conejero, who appears on court papers as White, pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault. The row took place at an apartment block where she and her eldest son share adjoining flats.

The restaurant formerly owned by her ex husband is adjacent - it was formerly known Frankie's Bar & Grill and is now the Villa de Geggiano.

Mathilde Conejero, 51, married the celebrity chef in 2000, and they have been estranged for some time.
