Join in the fun at a spooky fun-filled evening for all the family on Saturday 29th October 2011 from 4.30pm to 7.00pm in the Walled Garden & Conservatory, Chiswick House & Gardens.

Come in fancy dress (anything to do with pumpkins – from Hallowe’en to Cinderella!) and bring along your carved pumpkins. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes and the scariest pumpkins. Pumpkins will be lit up and displayed in the conservatory for all to enjoy as dusk falls – There may even be a bat or two to spot on the night!

There will be fun for everyone including:

  • Pumpkin and squash displays – grown by local schoolchildren (buy them for carving on Sunday 16th October from 2.00pm – 4.00pm from the Walled Garden).
  • Seasonal recipes using pumpkins and squashes
  • Crackling camp fire
  • Pumpkin skittles, fun & games
  • Fancy dress competition (children only!) judging from 5.00pm
  • Formation wheelbarrow display from the acclaimed Red Barrows at 6.00pm
  • Candlelit pumpkin procession and display
  • Delicious snacks, soups, drinks and treats will be available for sale

The Pumpkin Party will be held in the Walled Garden and the splendidly restored Conservatory in Chiswick Gardens. Entry is through all the gates into the Gardens and follow signposts to the Conservatory. Gates close at 6.10pm - please note that exits at the end of the evening will be through the Duke’s Avenue Gate and the Corney Road Gate.
