Air ambulance lands on Turnham Green as police cordon off area

Chiswick High Road was closed for much of Tuesday afternoon (18 August) between the junction with Acton Lane and Duke Road.

An elderly woman was taken ill whilst travelling along the High Road on a 267 bus and has had to be taken to hospital by helicopter. There are unconfirmed reports that she was injured when the bus came to a sudden unexpected stop when she was preparing to get off at the next stop.

An air ambulance landed on Turnham Green and police cordoned off the area near Waitrose.
