Chiswick's Dr. Ruth retires after 41 years
Popular Chiswick GP, Dr Ruth Heinsheimer, retires on 30th September after 41 years working in Chiswick. ‘Dr Ruth’ came to the UK from Israel at the age of two. Educated at Haberdashers' Aske's School in Ealing and Birmingham Medical School, she worked initially with her father at his Practice in Wellesley Road, Chiswick. Theirs was one of the first Practices, in 1978, to move into the new Chiswick Health Centre, where nowadays it is the Chiswick Health Practice with six doctors . She says:"‘It has been a pleasure and a privilege to provide continuity of care in in this Community throughout my career. I would like to thank the many patients who have sent their good wishes on my retirement." She looks forward to spending more time with her journalist husband, Peter, family (including three grandchildren), walking their chocolate labrador ‘Dottie’ in Chiswick Park, and enjoying the garden.
