Local people have been asked to help find a dog who was taken from outside the large Sainsbury on Chiswick High Road yesterday ( March 31st).

Troy disappeared at around 3.30 pm and his owner says Troy, who is a recent rescue dog, is likely to be nervous and frightened in strange surroundings. The police have been informed and have also asked people to be watchful.

Troy's owner says they are anxious to trace a thin, pale man aged 20-30 years old with a blond goatee beard, wearing a black and white Tibetan style hat with ear flaps and a Parker style jacket.

Troy was on a black halter lead when he was taken and was wearing a leather collar with a tag bearing his name and his owner's phone number. He is also chipped.

He is described as a cross between a labrador and a wolf hound, and is very strong but has no road sense.

"His ears are brown and soft , his coat is more bristly, white with a few light patches of brown. He is big and friendly and has a lovely face, " says his owner.
