Traffic delays across west London caused tailbacks which affected Chiswick today (Oct 23).

TfL said traffic was slow back to the Hogarth roundabout on the A316 following a collision at the junction of the South Circular Road and Lower Richmond Road in the early evening affecting rush-hour.

Meanwhile a collision near Kew Bridge also caused congestion with traffic slow on Junction 1 (Chiswick Roundabout) to Junction 2 at Brentford, but that was cleared around 6 p.m.

An accident on the A4 at Bath Road near Hounslow also caused congestion for several miles.

The police said the traffic lights at Turnham Green Terrace were also causing delays along the Chiswick High Road. Congestion was reported to be bad around Chiswick Town Hall as well due to tailbacks.
