Kayden the Royalist posts videos about the British monarchy
February 19, 2025 A student at Chiswick school has gained over 70,000 followers and 2.5 million likeson TikTok for his unique coverage of royal events. W4-resident Kayden set up @kaydentheroyalist due to his passion for documenting the activities of the British monarchy. He has attended and shared exclusive content from some of the most significant royal occasions, including Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral procession, King Charles III’s Coronation, Garter Day, and the King’s Birthday Parades. His unique coverage has provided followers, many of whom might not usually be interested in the royals, with an up-close perspective of royal traditions and ceremonies. Kayden already has a full calendar for 2025 with plans to cover key royal events, including the Easter Sunday service at Windsor Castle, the King’s Birthday Parade, Garter Day, and Royal Ascot. He also plans to document the grandeur of the State Opening of Parliament procession and State Visits, as well as the Remembrance Sunday Parade in Westminster. Additionally, he will continue to promote the work of the Household Division by attending Changing of the Guard ceremonies and other military events, further highlighting the role of the armed forces in supporting the monarchy. His into royal coverage began during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, a moment that sparked his deep admiration for royal ceremonies. This passion was further reinforced following the Queen’s passing in September 2022, when he recorded the historic Royal Proclamation of King Charles III at St James’s Palace. His commitment to attending and sharing these pivotal moments has resonated with a growing audience. Despite his success, Kayden has faced challenges in growing his platform, including navigating TikTok’s unpredictable algorithm, handling criticism from sceptics, and managing competition from other creators. Additionally, he has had to balancing his royal coverage with his academic commitments as a sixth-form student. Looking to the future, Kayden aspires to pursue a career in media, specialising in royal event coverage at a professional level. With a background in Politics A-Level, he would like to merge his interest in politics and the monarchy, ultimately working with a press association to bring in-depth and exclusive royal coverage to a wider audience. His journey has been supported by Chiswick School and particularly his headteacher, Mrs. Laura Ellener, whose encouragement he says has been invaluable in helping him navigate this path.
