South West Train services on the Hounslow Loop have been seriously disrupted this evening ( April 16) following an incident in which a person has been hit by a train at Barnes Bridge. The emergency services are currently at the scene.

Mainline services from Waterloo were halted after 5 pm and passengers advised to check with the train company for the latest information. The line towards London reopened at around 6.30 pm but no trains are stopping at Barnes Bridge.

Until further notice:

  • Trains between London Waterloo and Weybridge will be diverted via Twickenham in both directions
  • London Waterloo services via the 'Hounslow Loop' are currently disrupted.
  • Passengers can use their train tickets on London Underground services between Waterloo and Hounslow West/Richmond. Local buses are also accepting tickets via any reasonable route, said SWT.
