The District Line tube service was suspended this morning (1st August) between Earls Court and Richmond.

Transport for London are saying that the interruption in services was due to a signal failure at Turnham Green. Piccadilly line trains stopped at Turnham Green station.

The signal problem has been resolved but services remain severely disrupted.

There were five emergency response vehicles outside Turnham Green although there have been no reports of any incidents involving passengers. The presence of the vehicles in Chiswick appears to be precautionary. There was an alert about a suspect package at Parsons Green earlier.
