There was a short stand off before he agreed to come down at around 8.15am. The incident has caused severe delays to trains in the area and traffic jams on surrounding roads. After being talked down by police, the man was taken to Lakeside Mental Health Unit at West Middlesex Hospital, in order to be assessed.

This is the second incident in three days at Chiswick Mainline, after a trespasser was caught on the tracks on Tuesday.
