Arts Educational School London have announced their plans to screen 16 short films in both LA and London this summer, showcasing the talents of their final year students.

In addition the performing arts school also welcomes two new patrons, choreographer Gillian Lynne CBE and actor Robert Lindsay. The new patrons will work closely with President Andrew Lloyd Webber developing the future stars of stage and screen.

ArtsEd are the first UK acting course to present work to industry experts on both sides of the Atlantic. It is an opportunity for the aspiring young actors to attract attention to their acting abilities in this fiercely competitive market.

The two screenings will take place at BAFTA London on Monday 27th June and SOHO House LA on Wednesday 20th July.

Lord Lloyd Webber said that he had “seen ArtsEd go from strength to strength” this year and was “delighted to continue my support”.

New patron Robert Lindsay, whose daughter graduated from ArtsEd in 2010, added that “students of drama constantly amaze me with their dedication” and had “a film department that is second to none”.
