Meeting will also hear about council's plans for management of HMOs
March 5, 2025 The next meeting of the Chiswick Area Forum is taking place at the Town Hall on Wednesday 12 March. Items on the agenda include an update from local police officers, information on how residents can contribute to the development of the next Hounslow Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy and details of the council’s developing policy on Homes in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) From 6:30pm-7:30pm there will be an Informal Networking Event. This section before the start of the formal meeting will include marketplace style stalls, where residents can speak with Council officers about individual issues, meet and speak to their specific ward Councillors and hear about local community groups and initiatives. An Open Forum will take place as close as possible to 9.00 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes. Members of the public may raise matters of local concern through written forms which will be available at the back of the meeting room. As usual there will be an Open Forum which will take questions from members of the public from as close as possible to 8pm for approximately 20 minutes. Members of the public may raise matters of local concern. Points raised will be noted and used to inform the work of the Area Forum but it may not be possible to have a detailed discussion of individual issues. Written questions can be submitted up until 7.45pm using proforma sheets will be available at the back of the hall. Speakers will be allowed at the Chair’s discretion who will normally only allow one contribution per person per item and one item per person per meeting and discussion of items on the main agenda will not be permitted in the Open Forum. Items where the debate cannot be contained within the public forum may be continued at a future forum or may be put on a future agenda with an officer’s report. The next Chiswick Area Forum is due to take place on 2 July 2025.
