Got some clothes in your wardrobe that you never wear but are just too good to throw away? Why not try 'Swishing' them instead and help raise funds for a good cause at the same time.

This Saturday, Genesis Research Trust is running a swishing party at St Michael's Church, W4.

SWISHING explained!

Please bring along at least one good quality, nearly new item of clothing or footwear (accessories or bags are also OK ) that might be lurking, unloved, in your wardrobe.

You will receive a ticket for each item you bring, which you will swap for an equal number of items. Any additional items you select will be charged at £1 each.

Each item should be something that you are proud to pass on to a good home where someone new will love it. Items must be of good quality and not dated or worn out.

If possible please bring your clothing on hangers – although bulging bags of designer goods are also more than welcome.

As this is a fund raiser any designer or new items will be hung on a ‘premium rail’ and will have an additional charge – up to £10.

Doors will open at 1.30pm, and you will have an hour or so to drop off clothes and enjoy a glass of wine.

You will have time before the Swish to browse the rails, but no items may be claimed before the Swish is officially opened.

Swishing is a great way of saving money, saving the planet and raising funds for a good cause.

Your entrance fee of £12 will include wine or soft drinks on your arrival. All profits will go to Genesis Research Trust.
