Fancy a guided bird walk this weekend near the river? Or perhaps a cruise on a boat which took part in the Jubilee Pageant? Chiswick Pier Trust has both events happening at the Pier this weekend.

A Mid Summer Jazz Cruise on Friday 22nd June aboard the newly refurbished Queen Elizabeth, as featured in the Jubilee Pageant. They will be cruising to Westminster and back leaving Chiswick Pier at 7 pm and returning by around 10pm.

On board will be the popular jazz band, Anacousis, who will serenade you whilst you sail the Thames. On the return journey enjoy the magic of London by night, viewed from the water.  Pissarro’s restaurant will be serving a two course cold supper during the cruise. Tickets £35.  Call 020  8742 2713 or 07594  596729.

Also there's a guided Bird Walk on Saturday 23rd June at 9.30am. Keith Martin will explain how to identify our wonderful local wildlife by sight and sound as you walk the two bridges. The Trust keeps the numbers down to a comfortable 25 for this, so booking is essential - free for members of Chiswick Pier Trust, £3 for non members. The walk can last up to 3 hours, so walking footwear and, in this weather layers are advisable.
