Would you like to know more about identifying birds and, in particular, the river wildlife around Chiswick? The Chiswick Pier Trust have organised for Keith Martin to show how we can get to know birds through a variety of ways such as how they move and sound.

Saturday May 10th, 9.30am, Bird Walk from Chiswick Pier with Keith Martin.

Many of us walk along the river without always knowing what we are looking at. The aim of this event is to help us start thinking like a birdwatcher.

All are welcome for this very enjoyable and sociable stroll.  The walk takes around two and a half hours, as they make regular stops to listen to bird song and admire nature on the way. The walk goes via the Leg of Mutton nature reserve and once over Hammersmith bridge usually veer off to one of  the lovely river pubs for an early lunch.

The forecast looks good for Saturday, so a bottle of water and suncream are a good idea. If you have binoculars, please bring them.

Group size is limited to 25, so booking is essential.  You can get tickets from the Pier House or by applying in writing enclosing a cheque made out to Chiswick Pier Trust. The event is free to members of the Chiswick Pier Trust or £3 for non-members.
