Kate Sumnall giving talk hosted by Chiswick Pier Trust
December 5, 2025 The Chiswick Pier Trust welcomes Kate Sumnall, curator of archaeology at the London Museum, for a special evening talk at The Pier House, Corney Reach Way, W4 2UG. Kate is the creator of Secrets of the Thames: Mudlarking London’s Lost Treasures, the museum’s most successful mudlarking exhibition to date. Her expertise in river archaeology promises a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at how the exhibition was developed, the role of a curator, and the remarkable stories behind artefacts discovered along the Thames. The talk on Tuesday, 16 December at 7pm, will last around an hour, followed by a Q&A session. Doors open at 6.30pm, with refreshments available. Tickets are £5 (free for CPT members). The exhibition itself runs at the London Museum Docklands until 1 March 2026.
