Free Dog-Chipping At Metro Bank This Weekend

All dogs will have to be chipped by Spring 2016

Metro Bank is hosting a free dog micro-chipping event at its Chiswick branch this weekend (Saturday 13th - Sunday 14th September). The event is in partnership with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

The Government announced last year that all dogs in the country will have to be micro-chipped by April 2016. Chipping enables lost and stray dogs to identified and re-united with their owners more easily. The process can cost a large amount of money, so this free event could be a saver for pet owners.

The Battersea team, which has worked on a number of free chipping events over the past two years, will be on hand to provide chipping from 11am to 3:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday. They will also be offering free advice on responsible dog ownership to owners.
