The Gunnersbury Pub on Chiswick High Road will host a live music event on Saturday 22 November featuring three local bands, including The Hackenbackers will be marking 50 years since its first school gig. The night, titled “Charity Night Live!”, is free to attend and will raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

The Hackenbackers, formed by four musicians who first played together in Greenford in 1975, will headline the evening alongside NDX and The Volted Hearts.

Speaking ahead of the event, lead singer Grahame Ridley said, “It’s amazing that it’s been 50 years since we first picked up our instruments together. We’ve stayed mates all this time, and this felt like the perfect reason to celebrate this—to play the music we have written, and to help raise funds and awareness for a really important cause.”

The gig runs from 7:00pm to midnight, with all proceeds from band contributions, raffles, and collections going to Prostate Cancer UK.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
