A group of learning disabled adults is staging two nights of concerts to raise money for the famine in Somalia.

The concerts will be held at the Arts Educational School, Bath Road, on Wednesday, December 14th and Thursday, December 15th at 7.30p.m.

The theme of the evening is 'Somali Nights', a medley of classic and original music, sketches and videos, along with excerpts from their upcoming production, 'Cuts-The Musical'.

The group has previously raised money for the Haiti earthquake and the Japanese tsunami.

A spokesman for the group said ; "These fund raising events are causing a stir as they are upturning societies traditional view that people with learning disabilities are only capable of taking and being cared for. These concerts are proof that these people can care and contribute themselves! "
