Skills Match Event At St. Margaret's House

Building bridges between residents and locals

A 'skills match' event will be held on Friday 24th May between 7:00pm and 9:00pm, at St. Margaret's House on Sutton Court Road.

This event is open to all who are interested in volunteering, mentoring, offering donations, services and general offers of helping out.

It will be an opportunity to meet and discuss the offers with the staff team and residents, who will be cooking food to show their gratitude for the support which the local community has offered.

Saint Margaret's offers supported accommodation for 26 young people aged between 16 and 21. The 24- hour staff offer support around life skills, education, employment, training and much more. The young people all come from disadvantaged backgrounds, having been in care and /or being homeless and the project aims to help them to learn to live independently.
