One of the major portrait painters of the Georgian Period, Johan Zoffany, who has links with Chiswick, will be remembered at a lecture at St. Nicholas Church, Church St., Chiswick, on Thursday, February 23rd at 7.30pm.

The lecture, 'Johan Zoffany: Society Observed' will be given by Dr. Martin Postle, curator of the forthcoming Zoffany exhibition at the Royal Academy. The talk is organised by the Friends of St. Nicholas Church.

Johan Zoffany lived on Strand-on-the-Green at the end of his life, and worshipped and was buried at St Anne¹s Kew. He painted altarpieces for both St Anne¹s, Kew and St Nicholas, Chiswick.
