Fundraising event returns to St. Paul's Church
November 15, 2025 The Chiswick Brass Festival will hold a special fundraising concert at St Paul’s Church, Grove Park. The event aims to raise funds for next year’s festival while offering audiences an afternoon of exceptional chamber music in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The concert on Sunday 23 November at 4:30pm will feature soprano Isobel Coughlan, who will perform Schubert’s poignant late masterpiece “Auf dem Strom” alongside French horn player Ollie De Carteret. The programme also includes a selection of operatic arias from La Bohème and Carmen, as well as Mozart’s “Laudate Dominum.” Audiences can also look forward to the return of the West London Tuba Quartet, a local favourite known for their rich sound and playful repertoire. Artistic Director Tom Torley will guide listeners through a programme that spans from the classical elegance of Michael Haydn’s double concerto for trombone and horn to contemporary brass works. The Chiswick Brass Festival is a local charity dedicated to enriching the cultural life of Chiswick and supporting the next generation of musicians through education and performance opportunities. With no marketing budget, the organisers are relying on community support to help promote the event and raise funds for future programming. Entry to the concert is free, with donations warmly welcomed. A short interval will offer drinks and snacks, and the event is designed to fit comfortably before or after a Sunday roast.
