Kevin McNally directs play about the partnership at the heart of Fleetwood Mac
January 4, 2026 Following a sold-out preview earlier this year, The Ballad of Buckingham Nicks is back for an eight-performance run from 7–20 January, offering audiences a music-filled journey through one of rock’s most compelling partnerships. Starring Julian Littman as Lindsey Buckingham and Wendy Morgan as Stevie Nicks, the production blends storytelling and live performance to chart the creative, romantic and often turbulent relationship between the two artists whose work helped define Fleetwood Mac’s sound and legacy. Featuring songs from both the Buckingham/Nicks era and the Fleetwood Mac catalogue, the show promises a rich, emotional exploration of the pair’s intertwined lives. Directed by Kevin McNally and arranged by Wendy Morgan, the piece moves fluidly through time, shifting between eras as the performers narrate and embody the highs, lows and artistic breakthroughs that shaped the duo’s journey. It’s part tribute, part biography, part concert — a 75-minute immersion in music, memory and the complicated alchemy of collaboration. Wendy Morgan’s career spans film, theatre, music and directing. From early work with The Bubble Theatre to acclaimed film roles in Yanks, The Mirror Crack’d, 84 Charing Cross Road and Mrs Lowry & Son, she has also appeared in major National Theatre and Peter Hall Company productions alongside Glenn Close, Helen Mirren and Alan Bates. Her musical life includes performing with The Starlettes, The Amy Winehouse Experience and Dave Finnegan’s The Commitments. She is also a filmmaker and songwriter, with her feature Mercy available on Amazon and YouTube. Julian Littman is equally versatile, with a career spanning children’s television (Rainbow), classic dramas (The Sweeney, Bergerac, Baal with David Bowie), and feature films including Evita and Al’s Lads. As a musician he has worked with Steeleye Span, Gerry Rafferty, Sheena Easton, Dexy’s and many more, and has composed for film and TV. On stage he played “Pop” in We Will Rock You and is currently Musical Director for the national tour of Return to the Forbidden Planet. Performance Details Dates & Times
