The pictures below, taken by Ian Wylie, show the Gloriana as it passes under Chiswick Bridge, near the Boat Race finish, at 6.49 this morning (Wednesday, April 25th).

It was being towed to Greenwich for a renaming ceremony attended by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

The Gloriana was then towed back up along the Thames, passing by Chiswick after 3 p.m.

During the Thames Jubilee Pageant, on Sunday, June 3rd, the Gloriana will be the first boat behind the floating bell tower which will head the pageant. She will be powered by 18 oarsmen.

The Queen , Duke of Edinburgh and members of the Royal family will travel on the royal barge, the Spirit of Chartwell.
