Robbery At Marmalade Jewellery Shop In Chiswick

Two men being sought after theft at Turnham Green Terrace store

Police are searching for two men who robbed the Marmalade jewellery shop in Chiswick today (April 11).

The men burst into the shop in Turnham Green Terrace shortly before noon and escaped with jewellery in a 'smash and grab' type operation.

The owner of the store quickly operated an anti-theft device which releases smoke into the air. There were no customers in the shop at the time.

Police said the incident was over in a very short time. Nobody was injured.

The two men escaped with a haul of valuable jewellery in a vehicle which was recovered by police about half an hour later.

The alarm was raised and police were quickly on the scene. Enquiries are now underway and the police have asked for anyone who witnessed anything to come forward with information.
