Chiswick’s best loved summer fair is coming to Turnham Green in two weeks. It is lots of fun for all the family and raises much-needed funds for local Chiswick charities. Organised by the Parish of Our Lady of Grace and St Edward, the fair has become an essential part of summer for Chiswick residents, families and friends.

There are some fabulous raffle prizes to be won including a two-night luxury stay at Champneys Spa Resort, a P&O ferry crossing including accommodation in France, a £200 cash prize, and more. Raffle tickets are available on the day.

Head to the refreshment tent for beer or Pimms punch - meet with friends, take a break, or just enjoy the spectacle. Attraction include a charity auction with a host of fabulous items and experiences up for grabs, including:

• Three tickets to see Chelsea FC play in an exclusive suite at Stamford Bridge including a three course meal.
• Three hours consultancy services by local structural engineering firm Assegai. Enough time to discuss your extension ideas, see what they look like, undertake an initial feasibilty study and first stage plans.
• A garden design by 'Lifestyle Landscape Gardening'. Special discount on plants at Wheelers.
• A one month membership at the Hogarth Health Club
• Meal vouchers at Chiswick’s finest restaurants including Sam's Brasserie.
• Tickets for the London Eye.

Other attractions include a Fancy Dress Competition. ‘Favourite book character’ is the theme, so choose your special person or creature and get started on your costume. The entrants will parade on to Turnham Green to herald the start the fair. All children interested in participating should meet in front of the church for a prompt departure at 10:45 am.

• Music and dancing - steel band Stardust, will be playing throughout the day, and there will be a performance by flamenco dancer Anita ‘la Maltesa’ and guitarist.
• Fun for children – bouncy castle, ball pond, arts and crafts corner, mask-making and face painting.
• Football tournament – Our Lady of Grace parish team will compete with other local teams in this contest.
• International food and traditional tea tent– visit the food stall for delicious home cooked meals, snacks, cakes and treats from around the world.
• Retail therapy – from jewelry, books and bric-a-brac, to children’s toys and clothes.
• Pamper and relax – reflexology by Geraldine McCaffrey.


Over £40,000 has been raised over the last four years to help people of all faiths. All profits from this year’s fair will be distributed to local charities including React, Bag Books, Emmaus and Damien House, Bliss at Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, and Bridge Street Day Care Centre.
