A YouTube video made by elderly residents of Jessop House in Chiswick has achieved national fame after being highlighted on the BBC by Clare Balding.

The short clip shows them holding their own version of the Olympics complete with javelin, shot put and fencing.

Their efforts have already been viewed over 7,000 times. They claim to have been trying out for the Olympics since 1948 but have still not given up even though the oldest of the participants is 92.

Jessop House has an active and vibrant social scene even when the Olympics are not on. They hold regular bingo nights, keep fit sessions and darts nights.
