Luxury brand latest addition to Chiswick Park
Luxury Austrian crystal company Swarovski has announced that it has chosen Chiswick Park as its new UK head office, relocating from Surrey . Previously based at Perrywood Business Park in Surrey, the luxury crystal jewellery brand has increased its office space by 40%, signing a deal for 16,896 sq ft office development at Chiswick Park with a lease term of 10 years. Hayley Quinn, Managing Director Swarovski CGB UK & Ireland , said: “The London location enables us to be nearer to our consumers, store boutiques and stakeholders, while being within an environment which has increased in size reflecting the business growth and team expansion in recent years. The relocation of our Swarovski UK head office to Chiswick Park is an exciting step in our overall brand strategy, positioning Swarovski as a premium fashion jewellery brand”. The company was founded by Daniel Swarovski in 1895 and is now a global empire spanning crystal jewellery, home decor, chandeliers, crystal glass sculptures and precision tooling equipment. The original company logo was an edelweiss flower, which was replaced by a swan logo in 1988. Rob Madden, Senior Director at CB Richard Ellis, which acted for Blackstone , comments: “We are delighted by Swarovski’s decision to choose Chiswick Park for its UK operational hub which further highlights the appeal of the park to international businesses from a variety of business sectors. Chiswick Park has continued to buck the wider market trend with vacancy rates for office space now below 1% . Blackstone Group International acquired the park at the start of 2011 and over 5,500 people are employed in several international companies at the 1.8 million square foot office development. The speculative development of a new building, Building 6, comprising of 216,000 sq ft, is currently under construction at the park.
