The Christmas Lights for Chiswick will be officially switched on at 6 pm on Thursday, 29 November.

Fuller’s Brewery continues this year as sponsors of the lights and there will be plenty of festive cheer on hand.

The ceremony will be held outside the George IV on Chiswick High Road. Local schoolchildren are expected to attend to sing carols, and councillors and local dignatories will attend. It is not yet known who will perform the ' switching on' ceremony.

Local residents have commented that some Christmas lights have already been illuminated. This is due to a technical issue where the Christmas lights are not run on a separate system from the street lighting, unlike in parts of central London such as Regent Street.
