Old and young rugby fans hoping to get a glimpse of the world’s biggest stars might be lucky enough to glimpse their heroes in Chiswick this weekend.

The Chiswick Moran Hotel is hosting the players taking part in the ‘Heroes Rugby Challenge’ at Twickenham this Saturday, December 3rd, and non-guests are welcome to visit The Globe Bar ,where big screens will be placed for the match . The players are likely to be in the vicinity before and after the match so starry-eyed fans might get a chance to see them in person.

Tickets are still available for the match and are currently on a special 2 for 1 offer with adult tickets from just £15.

Rugby World Cup winners Lawrence Dallaglio and Jason Leonard, and Welsh legend, Ieuan Evans, will manage a strong H4H Northern Hemisphere XV against a star studded Southern Hemisphere team, overseen by Australian and All Black World Cup winners Michael Lynagh and Sean Fitzpatrick.

The teams will include some of the best talent drawn from the professional game and the Armed Forces of both Hemispheres and the pick of the young ‘Academy’ players. Already announced for the Northern Hemisphere XV are Serge Betsen, Danny Grewcock, Will Greenwood and Josh Lewsey. For the Southern Hemisphere, Nicky Little ( Fiji), Joe Roff, Justin Harrison (Australia), Justin Marshall (New Zealand) and A.J. Venter (South Africa). Coaches are Dean Ryan and John Kirwan for the Northern Hemisphere, and Wayne Smith and Nick Mallett for the Southern Hemisphere. Full details can be found at www.heroesrugby.org.uk

The match aims to raise a substantial sum of money for Help for Heroes, the charity which provides practical support for wounded service men and women. The two teams will comprise of players selected from the northern and southern hemisphere professional game and the best players from the Armed Forces.

This year’s fixture, which will mark the tenth anniversary of Britain’s Armed Forces Operations in Afghanistan, promises to be an even bigger attraction than the first Help for Heroes match in 2008 when over 52,000 spectators helped raise £1.46m for Help for Heroes.
