The four-course sumptuous meal at the hotel’s destination restaurant, Napa, is also available for diners who wish to book a table without a hotel stay. The “Valentines Menu” is available on 14 February, as well as the weekends before and after Valentine’s Day. For just £39.50 per person, guests can choose from four starters, followed by a cosmopolitan granite, then a choice of four mains and four deserts. The starters are a roast red pepper and plum tomato soup, fresh Dorset crab with spiced avocado and fresh tomato dressing, three baked Irish rock oyster’s with baby spinach and hollandaise or a carpaccio of beef, rocket & parmesan. For the main course, diners can choose from corn-fed chicken breast with goat’s cheese and rosemary dauphinoise, baked cod fillet with crushed herb new potatoes, tomato and mussel buerre Blanc, braised lamb shank with champ mash and roasted baby beetroot. The vegetarian option is aubergine, spinach & ricotta cannelloni. There are three individual desserts, so diners can enjoy baked chocolate fondant with sauce anglaise, vanilla panna cotta with strawberry compote or cropwell bishop stilton cheese. There is also a larger dessert to share, a delectable chocolate fondue with marshmallows, strawberries and pastries. With a contemporary green and floral design, Napa has vintage image walls and raised booths. Head Chef Wayne Dixon, formerly of Quaglinos and Bush Bar & Grill, specialises in creating modern British cuisine with a twist.
