Alfresco BBQ on terrace before the Opening Ceremony

The Chiswick Moran Hotel is inviting residents and the local after-work-crowd to join them for a barbecue on the outdoor terrace of The Globe Bar this Friday afternoon (July 27) in anticipation of the Olympic Games opening ceremony.

The special menu will be available from 3pm until 9pm on Friday, 27 July, after which guests can move inside to watch the spectacular opening ceremony unfold on The Globe Bar’s three 31-inch screens and one 42-inch screen.

Head Chef Wayne Dixon, has created a selection of delicious barbecue dishes for the occasion and diners will be able to watch as he prepares the meals on the terrace before their very eyes.

Dishes include beef steak, spiced lamb, chicken breast, Cumberland sausage or salmon fillet in a burger bun or baguette (£7.00); tiger prawn & chorizo bruchettes (£8.50); chilli & lime marinated squid with spring onion salsa (£8.50); and hot barbequed platters to share ranging from seafood to kofta (£15.00).

Diners simply order and pay for their barbecue choice at the bar and present the slip to the chef to prepare.

To accompany the fresh barbecue menu, diners can choose from a wide selection of wines, cocktails, shots, martinis and champagne cocktails, or from The Globe’s extensive beer menu that has over 25 global brands.

The Globe Bar is open until midnight Monday – Thursday, and is the only bar in Chiswick with a late licence at the weekend, staying open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays (11pm on Sundays).
