Valentine menu a tribute to Lindsey Bareham
Did you know that Lindsey Bareham, co-author of ‘the best cookbook in the world’ – aka ‘The Prawn Cocktail Years’ with Simon Hopkinson (they also wrote ‘Roast Chicken & Other Stories’ together) – is a local who lives just around the corner from our pub? It is, in all honesty, my favourite cookbook – and I have a few. So as a tribute to my love, we are doing our valentines menu entirely from the book. The menu is given below and I’m sure the style of food will bring back memories (Conservative government, strikes, country gone to the dogs!!).
