During the Careers Day at the end of the summer term Chiswick School were pleased to invite alumni back to school to talk to students and answer questions about their jobs.

This kind of outside help is increasingly valuable to the school, because recent cuts have reduced the careers advice programme from two, full time, to just one part-time member of staff.

They'd now like to broaden this scheme to include people who didn't attend the school. A spokesperson said, "The main thing is to get a good cross-section of adults, of all ages, coming to talk to students about how their studying and working or just working life developed after school years."

Deputy Head Matt Sadler and 6th Form teacher Chris Finnegan are putting together a series of early morning job-chats, open to all years.

The sessions will take place on Thursday mornings, 8.15-8.45am, from 3 November to the end of the year.

If you would like to come and talk to students about your work, they’d like to hear from you. Please email Matt Sadler MSA@chiswick.hounslow.sch.uk
